Abstract

This article has as an objective to present the personal dimension that composse the teacher identity. Being so that, we consider as essential concepts to the study of the teacher identity, the self-knowledge, intending to understand better how the teacher (re)builds his/her identity. We have chosen as the theoritician Morin (2001, 2003, 2006, 2008) for this dimension. The data were obtained from a qualitative research, so we can understand the teacher in his/her natural habitat, observing better his/her behavior, his/her interactions and in the situations faced.
