This dossier is a brief presentation of what is the Literacy Grant Program as a public policy of the state government of Sao Paulo, inserted in Reading and Writing Program and its history at the College of São Vicente. This program is developing proposals to meet the target of teaching children up to eight years old of public education..Among the actions developed, is the Literacy Scholarship which allows the entry of the university student, from the courses of Literature and Pedagogy in the classroom of second year of the state public schools. The graduating, called student-researcher, are advised to conduct an observation of the relationship of teaching and learning and a reports of learning activities developed in the classroom. The group of papers presented here, written by guiding teachers and students, Project participants are structured to allow the reader not only understand how a public policy directed for education works, as well as develop critical reflections about the relationships of teaching and learning, on the relationship between theory and practice on the initial and continuing teachers education training. One can discern the deep involvement of the students and school students, teachers, conductors, coordination and the practical and theoretical knowledge in the following actions built and developed in the Project. Finally, we present the Literacy Scholarship Project as a possibility of training the future teachers who want to in the reality of their students.
